Filmfare Awards 2012: Best & Worst Dressed Actresses
Deepika Padukone
It was definitely a sari soirée at the Filmfare Awards. Deepika looked lovely in this peach sari accentuated with a few bangles and earrings.
Dia Mirza
Dia chose a stiffer look, but we think she ravished all the same with an elegant choice of rustic kundan jewellery.
Asin
The actress opted for a printed Stella McCartney Spring 2012 Gown for the Filmfare Awards. We feel the dress was meant for a taller more slender woman.
Bipasha Basu
Going the goddess route, Bipasha could’ve done without the tacky gold head-band on the glittery gown which was gold enough!
Chitrangda Singh
We enjoyed these colours on dusky Chitrangada, though we have a slight objection with the pleated ‘Bhangra’ skirt!
Kareena Kapoor
Kareena looked stunning in an au naturale Manish Malhotra sari, minimal make up and loose hair.
Karisma Kapur
Karisma chose a shoulder bare Manish Malhotra sari. We like!
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka wore a powder blue Ferragamo gown which she paired with a clutch, also from Ferragamo. The hair perfectly complemented the fluidity of the dress don’t you think?
Sophie Choudhary
Going the easy route, Sophie chose a drape gown with a single statement neckpiece to finish off the look in style.
Urmila Matondkar
Confusing us on the red carpet was Urmila Matondkar in this layered gown/salwar suit with chunky clog heels and an asymmetrical trail that flowed awkwardly!
Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan won best actress for The Dirty Picture, but does this sari qualify as a winning outfit?

Seems like the Kapoors and Bachchans are finally putting their past behind them!
Karisma Kapoor was once engaged to Abhishek Bachchan and it is still a mystery as to why their engagement was called off! Having said that, both of them are now well-settled with their respective significant others.
Karisma who was bestowed style icon of the year, made the first move. She greeted her once-to-be-mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan and gave her a big hug at the event. She also congratulated Jaya on the new arrival into the family.
So it seems like the Cold War is finally over and hopefully we will see Abhishek and Karisma and their families all be friends again! Well one can hope, can’t they?
Dos & Don’ts: Pregnant Celebrity Styles
Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty’s showing her bump and it looks cute in this empire waist anarkali. The flats are well picked as well, considering some pregnant celebrities try to brave it out in heels…phew!
Kourtney Kardashian
We love this body-con dress on Kourtney.
Celina Jaitley
Wearing a top as a dress when you are pregnant is really not the wisest of options Celina; although the look otherwise is sound.
Alyson Hannigan
A loose A-line maxi is a great look for a pregnant mom, as worn by How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan.
Lara Dutta
The actress who was due in Jan and had a baby girl, wore a fitted leopard print dress that accentuated her belly and a pair of neat black pumps. The best part was that she didn’t try to hide her tummy behind a voluminous dupatta!
Celeb Spotting!
Vidya Balan attended Sabya's show too. The sari paired with the potli bag is perfect but the black nail polish and black beaded bracelet can be unforgiving. But she hardly wore any make up and her skin has a natural glow.
When velvet meets eye-popping embroidery meets jadau jewellery you need to hide under a rock to escape from the bling attack. In this case Hema Malini and Esha Deol fell victim to all three. These are creations by designer duo Shyamal & Bhumika.
Katrina Kaif attended Manish Malhotra's show in a voluminous kalidaar by the designer.
